Let's start Term 2 off right!
Dictation #9 Step 1-3 is due Monday, February 8, 2016! Don't forget you need to write a sentence for each word in addition to copying the words 5 times and writing the definitions. Have a nice weekend! -Ms Shannon Don't forget, Dictation words and definitions are always due on Monday.
This week, Dictation #8 will be on Thursday. Make sure to practice your spelling. "Energy Source" question are due on Thursday. I will be collecting your answers, so make sure you write neatly and in full sentences. Tomorrow is our library visit. Be sure to bring your card and books you would like to return. Check your account to see if you have any late fees. If you lose your card, it costs $1 to replace it. Have your cash ready!
Friday will be our Dictation #7. Don't forget to study. -Ms. Shannon Don't forget, your journal entry update is due this Friday.
Be sure to include: -Name of child -Name of his/ her disability -Description of the disability -What makes him/ her brave -Write a short story about what it might be like for him/ her to go to school for the first time. This week's homework (so far):
-Language Power, Lesson 12 - due Wednesday -Language Power, Lesson 13 - due Friday Ask me as soon as possible if you have specific questions about either lesson. Good luck! Don't forget to mark down all the pages you are reading this week - at school and at home. An adult must initial your "Reading Log" for each entry.
If you read to your brother or sister, for example, that counts too! Add what you read to them to both your log and theirs. This week's homework - due Friday, January 15: 1) Language Power (L.P.) -Lesson 34, p54 (Dialogue Quotation Marks) 2) Correct errors from your "European Microstates" worksheet 3) Have your parents sign the Historical Fiction Unit Test We had a great time visiting the Alta Vista Public Library thanks to their helpful librarian, Shannon MacGillivray. There will be many more visits to come.
